We have made a slide about a country we have researched on, we looked into the Somalian women whose rights were taken away by them by the government. These women are obliged to obey the men and to serve as more like prospects towards the men as they are their "property". Women and children are raped and tortured by the men and can't do anything about it because their vulnerable and aren't aloud to fight back. Many mothers are seeking help from organisations to help them protect them and their children,

child labour

Image result for ghana children workingDarker-side of chocolate

I have learnt that these young Ghanaian children are working in this work field collecting cocoa beans, working in this kind of environment can affect the children as the surroundings is not safe for them. Individuals can help these families buy buying fair trade chocolate as it benefits these communities that are collecting the beans. Fair trade chocolate can help the families in Ghana so it would be better if we bought this kind of chocolate. This can help put a stop to children working as the fair trade company does not allow child labours due to this the children can hopefully be put back into schools and the community will make profit from the fair trade, from the profit they are making this can help put pumps into villages to provide everyone with clean water.

Science: Cell

- Living & Non living:
We are all surrounded by non living and living things, some non living things show one or two of these seven characteristics of a living organism, a washing machine is and example. All living organisms contain living cells, all living organisms can either move on their own, grow, reproduce, respire and excrete. Non-living things can also move but this only happened through energy but are not living, they can't move on their on unless its powered.

- Cell structure:
The cell structures for a plant and animal cell is different. As you can see in the picture a plant cell contains more organisms than an animal cell, having 3 more cell organisms being Cellulose cell wall, Vacuole and Chloroplasts.

 Functions of cell parts (organelles)
Their are many functions to a cell, the main organelle that controls the cell is the nucleus, the nucleus is basically the control center of the whole cell, next is the Mitochondria this give the cell energy, the cell membrane holds everything in side and the vacuole helps keep the cell firm, the chloroplast works to convert energy from the sun into sugar that can be used by cells, which is called photosynthesis. Animals cells don't contain any chloroplast.

My E-portfollio, my blog and year 10 digitech google plus community

My e-portfolio is going to be used to visually showcase the work that i will be doing in technology this year. My blog will be used to reflect on my learning in technology. The year 10 digi-tech google plus community will be used to collaborate with other students about the work that we complete in digi-tech.

We will be developing a game relating to sustainability. We have been trailing a game to learn new skills in scratch. Learnt: how to make codes, how to make backdrops.
